A social media user has accused Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty of displaying arrogance at Hvar Islands in Croatia at a restaurant.

The user (handle name maddythecricketer) has shared a clip claiming that Shilpa Shetty and her team are engaging in a war of words with a foreigner. The Bollywood actress is currently in Croatia to celebrate her 50th birthday.

The social media handle has claimed that Shilpa and her friends were talking loudly at the restaurant and the young foreigner asked them to lower their volume. Her husband replied to the foreigner's comment, "You Don't Know Who We Are." However, these words cannot be heard in the clip.

The user added, "I could not record that line on the video because it was very sudden. You can clearly hear Shilpa Shetty And Her family standing and Shilpa Shetty and team Saying , "Don't Talk To Us , we don't want to hear you." While , the foreigner girl just wanted to enjoy her food and politely requested to them to speak softly."

As the netizens questioned the authenticity of his claims, the said user posted a picture of Shilpa with a caption: "On the asking of my followers/viewers i am posting the photo of Shilpa Shetty In Hvar , Croatia just before the arguments took place with the foreigner girl."

Nonetheless, netizens are attacking Shilpa Shetty over the incident although the video does not clearly prove Shilpa or her team members displaying arrogance.

Criticising Shilpa, one user said, "It doesn't matter whether you are on foreign soil or Indian ....you have to maintain some decorum...everyone has come to enjoy in that restaurant and is paying the same bill you are and is entitled to the ambience they have paid for."

The second user commented, "Yet another example of Money doesn't buy class." The third user added, "Do talk very loudly in cafes and kinda ruin the ambience even here in india when i go to restaurants. It is a bad etiquette when you're in public."

However, another section of netizens claims that foreigners point out such mistakes only when Indians are involved. "Well personally witnessed many American tourists & Chinese talking loudly too in our Europe visits. But somehow Whites will call out loud Brown voices only. Imperialism has not ended tbh. Not saying that gives us license to be loud. But why the difference?" a user said.

Casting doubts over the authenticity of the claims, a netizen commented, "Yah I'm not believing any of this until you can actually provide proper video with dialogues. I have fallen prey to too many raig bait videos."

Defending the actress, a netizen claimed, "Clearly if you're at a restaurant people are gonna be there laughing, singing, talking. Everyone's there to have a good time! If you wanna have your food in silence kindly eat at home alone in your room. Shilpa herself owns Bastian hospitality nobody knows better etiquette & mannerisms than her. I'm sure it's a Karen hating on Indians who had a problem."
