Did Samantha Get Rs 200+ Cr From Ex-Husband Naga Chaitanya As Divorce Settlement?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is back in the headlines - this time for two reasons: reports of her second marriage, and renewed discussion about the massive alimony she famously turned down after her divorce from actor Naga Chaitanya.

According to fresh buzz, Samantha and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru have quietly tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. While neither of them has officially confirmed the news, multiple industry sources and social-media chatter claim the wedding took place recently in an intimate setting, away from the public eye.

Age Difference and Their New Chapter

Samantha, born on April 28, 1987, is 38 years old, while Raj, born on August 4, 1979, is 46. The couple has an age gap of roughly 7-8 years. The two reportedly grew close after working together on The Family Man 2, where Samantha delivered one of the most acclaimed performances of her career.

Flashback: Samantha's Decision to Reject a Huge Alimony

With her reported second marriage making waves, the conversation has also resurfaced around her dignified exit from her first marriage.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya divorced in 2021, ending a four-year relationship that began with a grand two-day wedding in Goa in 2017. At the time, several reports - especially an India Today report - revealed that Samantha was offered a massive alimony settlement estimated between ₹200 crore and ₹250 crore.

But the actress refused to take a single rupee.

Sources then had stated that Samantha made the decision after deep thought, insisting she wanted to stay financially independent and not accept any settlement from her ex-husband or his influential family. She was hurt by the divorce but chose to focus on her acting career and emotional recovery rather than material compensation.

Later, speaking about the biggest rumour she had ever heard about herself, Samantha quipped, "That I took ₹250 crore in alimony. Every morning I woke up waiting for income tax officials so I could show them there's nothing!"

She even joked that when the alimony story didn't sound believable, people invented a new rumour - that there was a prenup preventing her from seeking any payout.

Though the couple maintained silence during the separation, both eventually acknowledged the emotional difficulty of their split. In a candid podcast appearance on Raw Talks with VK, Naga Chaitanya called it a "conscious and respectful decision" and urged the public to refrain from speculating.

On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in December 2024.
