Amid the controversy surrounding Telugu astrologer Venu Swamy's prediction about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, an old video of Swamy claiming he advised Rashmika Mandanna to end her relationship with Rakshit Shetty has resurfaced and gone viral.

Swamy, in a YouTube interview two years ago, noted how Mandanna's popularity surged following the breakup and his ritual for her. He is heard saying: "I advised Rashmika to break up with Rakshit Shetty, the Kannada actor. After their split, she became a national crush. Many questioned why I performed a pooja for her. She has a promising future in her horoscope and may even enter politics one day, possibly becoming a Lok Sabha MP."

Rashmika Mandanna was introduced to films by Rakshit Shetty in the movie 'Kirik Party', and their relationship developed during the film's production. They had a grand engagement but eventually called off their wedding. Mandanna is now rumored to be romantically linked with Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda.

Swamy's latest controversy arose when he predicted that Naga Chaitanya's engagement to Sobhita Dhulipala would end in 2027 due to the involvement of a supposed third woman. This prediction sparked widespread outrage among fans and industry insiders.

The Telugu Film Journalist Association (TFJA) condemned Swamy's comments, filing a police complaint and criticizing his insensitivity during what should have been a celebratory time for the couple.

In response, Swamy released a follow-up video attempting to clarify his remarks, stating that the prediction was an extension of an earlier forecast related to Chaitanya's previous marriage to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Despite his explanation, the controversy has persisted.

Swamy has now publicly vowed to cease making predictions about celebrities and politicians.
