Did Amitabh Bachchan Respond To Rahul Gandhi's Comments On Aishwarya Rai?
Following Rahul Gandhi's controversial statements about him and his daughter-in-law, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan posted a cryptic message on X, formerly known as Twitter. The actor, yet to directly address the remarks, shared that he was focusing on his physical and mental well-being, setting everything else aside.

"T 4929 - time for work out .. mobility of the body .. flexibility of the mind .. all else can wait .." Bachchan wrote, indicating his dedication to health. He also mentioned his recent work-related travels, expressing a sense of incompleteness for missing a Sunday ritual.
Despite the challenges, Bachchan expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of his well-wishers. "And the desire to continue should never fade .. or so the pundits and the wise keep advising .. and the reality is something else .. but still we linger and make effort .. and with the push and support of the well-wishers .. You all are relentless, filled with the grace and energy that walks beside me .. giving me hope and courage .. May I live up to it .. is the prayer .. ever .. My love and my gratitude .. always," he wrote in his blog.
Rahul Gandhi's remarks, made during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, sparked controversy as he mocked Bollywood and mentioned Aishwarya and Amitabh. He criticised the guest list for the Ram Mandir launch, accusing the government of excluding Dalits, backward classes, and even the President. Gandhi's comments were condemned by many, including singer Sona Mohapatra, who criticized him for demeaning women."I saw Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Ambani, Adani, all the business people, but I did not see a single poor person. Not a single farmer was seen, not one labourer was seen, not one unemployed person was seen," he said.
"...I did not see a farmer there. Not one labourer was seen and not one small shopkeeper was seen. But all the billionaires were seen and there they were giving long speeches to the media. Ambani ji was giving statements...You must have seen," the former Congress chief added.
Questions were also raised regarding the silence of Aishwarya's mother-in-law and Samajwadi MP, Jaya Bachchan, regarding the issue. One user remarked, "Rahul Gandhi is continuously demeaning Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his speeches, simply because Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan attended the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. How is it that Jaya Bachchan has not raised any objection to this?"
Another individual noted, "It will be interesting to see Jaya Bachchan's response, considering her party's affiliation with the INDIA Alliance."
