Malayalam movie Dheeran has been released on Friday. The movie marks the directorial debut of Devadath Shaji whose writing in Bheeshma Parvam had earned him a lot of appreciation.

The movie has Rajesh Madhavan, Manoj K Jayan, Jagadish, Ashokan, Sudheesh, Vineeth, Abhiram, Shabareesh, Aswathy Manoharan, Sidharth Bharathan, Srikrishna Dayal, and Indumathy Manikandan in the cast. The movie has Mujeeb Majeed's music and Harikrishnan Lohithadas' cinematography. Finn George Varghese is the editor of the flick.

The protagonist of the Malayalam action comedy is Eldhose, a good-hearted villager whose heroic deeds frequently lead to unanticipated mayhem. Dheeran centers its humor on a bunch of quirky peasants who embark on a road journey with a purpose. They come upon a series of unforeseen circumstances and discoveries along the way that change the direction of their quest. A straightforward idea quickly gives way to a series of surprising developments that combine situational humor with themes of atonement and community.

But the last 30mins is a big letdown. Poor climax.
