Veteran actor and television producer Dheeraj Kumar passed away at the age of 79 in Mumbai on July 14, 2025. The cause of death was pneumonia, a severe respiratory infection that led to critical complications.
Kumar was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he remained under intensive care. Despite being placed on ventilator support, his condition deteriorated, and he succumbed to the illness. His family had earlier issued a request for privacy while expressing hope for his recovery.
