Dhanush And Aishwarya Rajinikanth Officially Divorce After 18 Years Of Marriage

Actor Dhanush and filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth have officially divorced. The family court granted their divorce on Wednesday. Dhanush, son of director Kasthuriraja, and Aishwarya, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, were married on November 18, 2004. They have two sons from their marriage. After nearly 18 years together, they announced their separation in November 2022 and sought a legal divorce through mutual consent.

Legal Proceedings and Divorce

On November 21, 2024, the couple appeared before family court judge Subhadevi for an in-camera hearing. Despite the proceedings, both remained resolute about ending their marriage. Consequently, the judge granted them a divorce on Wednesday. Their decision to part ways was mutual and amicable.

Dhanush's Legal Action Against Nayanthara

In other news related to Dhanush, he recently initiated a civil lawsuit against actor Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan. The issue arose over visuals from the Tamil film "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan" (2015) being used in the documentary "Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale." This film was produced by Dhanush's company Wunderbar Films Private Limited.

Current Projects of Aishwarya and Dhanush

Aishwarya Rajinikanth's latest directorial venture was "Lal Salaam," featuring a cameo by her father Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, Dhanush is eagerly awaiting the release of "Kubera," directed by Sekhar Kammula and co-starring Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna. Additionally, he is finalising his two directorial projects: "Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam" and "Idli Kadai."

The couple's decision to separate marks the end of an era for their fans. Both continue to focus on their respective careers in the film industry while maintaining their roles as parents to their sons.
