'Devara' 1st Day Box Office Collection: How Jr NTR-Starrer Performs In Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai

Junior NTR's highly-anticipated film 'Devara - Part 1' was released on Friday in five languages: Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam. The movie has garnered a fairly positive response, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions, as per initial reviews and trade reports.

Impressive Opening in Telugu

The Telugu version of 'Devara' has been met with enthusiastic fan support, leading to high occupancy rates in theaters. On its release day, the film saw an overall Telugu occupancy of 75.79%. Morning shows reported an impressive 80.11% occupancy, while afternoon shows maintained a solid 71.46%.

Hyderabad, a major hub for Telugu cinema, recorded the highest occupancy rate of 82.50% across 1,627 shows. Bengaluru followed with 58.50% occupancy from 820 shows, and Chennai recorded 67.00% occupancy from 123 shows.

Response for Hindi Version

The Hindi version of 'Devara' opened to a more subdued response, registering an overall occupancy of 12.24% on Friday. Morning shows saw 9.63% occupancy, while afternoon shows improved slightly with 14.85%. In Mumbai, where the film had 509 shows, occupancy stood at 15.50%. The National Capital Region (NCR) saw an 11.00% occupancy across 803 shows.

Other Languages

The Kannada version of the film has got slow start with an overall 23.86% occupancy. Morning shows registered 17.04%, while afternoon shows saw a stronger turnout at 30.67%.

The Tamil version of Devara experienced an overall occupancy of 19.38%. Morning shows saw 14.38% occupancy, with afternoon shows improving to 24.37%.

Whereas the Malayalam version had an overall occupancy of 19.73%, with a fairly consistent response in both morning (19.40%) and afternoon (20.06%) shows.

Strong Box Office Start

Despite the mixed reception across languages, Devara - Part 1 has managed to earn approximately ₹35.5 crore India net on its first day from all language versions combined. With strong word-of-mouth and a positive reception from the Telugu audience, the film is expected to continue its upward trajectory over the weekend.
