A Premiere Halted by Grief

Actor Huma Qureshi, who joins the cast this season, announced the cancellation of the premiere event. In a heartfelt message on Instagram, she shared that the decision came following a tragic explosion near Delhi's Red Fort and worrying news about veteran actor Dharmendra's health.

"Given the tragic incident in Delhi and the distressing news about Dharmendra ji's health, we have cancelled today's screening for Delhi Crime Season 3," she wrote, emphasizing that there are moments when celebration must take a pause for compassion.

The somber decision reflects the grim reality the capital city is currently facing. The Red Fort blast, which occurred on November 10, 2025, claimed at least nine lives and left over 20 injured. The explosion, which ignited several vehicles near the Red Fort Metro Station, has deeply shaken the city, prompting an outpouring of grief and calls for justice - a tragic parallel to the kind of stories Delhi Crime itself explores.

A Storyline Rooted in Reality

Even as the city mourns, the anticipation for the show's return remains strong. Delhi Crime Season 3 will once again follow DIG Vartika Chaturvedi (Shefali Shah) and her trusted team as they take on a chilling new case - one that delves into the dark networks of human trafficking.
