Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter' Goes Under Censor's Scissors; Sexually Suggestive Scenes Deleted

The shots that have raised eyebrows in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter' have been removed from the movie after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked for modifications.

The CBFC had asked for four cuts in the movie, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama. Firstly, the directive was to incorporate the anti-smoking static message in Hindi.

Secondly, an offensive word was either muted or substituted in two dialogues, occurring at the 53-minute and 1-hour-and-18-minute marks. Thirdly, segments containing 'sexually suggested visuals' were asked for modifications. The eight seconds of visuals were replaced by appropriate shots. Lastly, in a TV news visual scene, 25 seconds of audio were removed and substituted with 23 seconds of alternate audio.

After the makers made the changes, the CBFC cleared the movie, which will be released on January 25, with a U/A certificate. As per the report, the run-time of the Hindi flick is 166 minutes (2 hours and 46 minutes).

Earlier, the close-up shot of Deepika Padukone's buttocks in 'Besharam Rang' song from 'Pathaan' and the partial nudity sequence was removed from the film. The said track had created a lot of negative publicity for the movie. The fans have labelled the number as "vulgar" song.

Three changes were done to 'Besharam Rang' song. The close-up shot of Deepika's buttocks, 'side pose (partial nudity)' shots and visuals of sensuous dance movements during the lyrics 'Bahut tang kiya' were replaced with 'suitable shots'.

On the other hand, 'Ishq Jaisa Kuch' song from the movie has caught the attention of the fans for Deepika Padukone and Hrithik's sizzling chemistry.

In the song, they engage in a captivating dance and romance sequence along a picturesque beach. Sung by Vishal and Shekhar, featuring Shilpa Rao and Mellow D, the video unfolds against a beach setting that may evoke memories of 'Besharam Rang.' The duo exudes undeniable charm as they groove to the rhythm amidst the stunning backdrop.
