Bengaluru Court Orders Media To Stop Reporting On Darshan's Personal Life, Unauthenticated News On Murder
Media houses that continuously reported on Kannada actor Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda in connection with Renuka Swamy's murder case are now barred from doing so.
Thanks to the actor's wife Vijayalakshmi, who has brought a gag order preventing the media from spreading misinformation about the incident.

In her first official response to the incident, she expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased Renuka Swamy.
On her Instagram page, she said, "Alongside, The last few days have been full of anguish for Darshan, myself, my teenage son & all of Darshan's friends, family & Fans. With this order issued by the Honourable Court, I hope people will put to rest, some falsified information & untruths that were being spread across various media & social media platforms."
She then urged the media to publish only what is officially put out by the enforcement authorities. "I have full faith in Ma Chamundeshwari & in our legal system. Let Justice Prevail," she concluded.
What The Court Order Says?
The defendants, their reporters, anchors or any other persons claiming on behalf of them are restrained from printing, publishing, telecasting the news of any other information touching the personal and family life of the plaintiff, her husband Darshan Srinivas or publishing or telecasting any unauthenticated information/opinion in connection with the investigation in Crime No. 250/2024 conducted by Kamakshipalya Police Station.
As per the cops, Renuka Swamy was kidnapped and murdered by the aides of Darshan on June 8. His body was discovered at a drainage in Sumanahalli, a day later.
As per the official statement from the police department, the victim had sent obscene messages to Darshan's friend Pavithra Gowda.
A total of 17 people have been arrested in connection with the murder case.
