Darshan, Rishab Shetty, Rakshit Demand Justice For Neha Hiremath, Condemn Murder As Inhuman Act
Kannada actors have condemned the murder of Neha Hiremath, daughter of a Congress councillor, and demanded justice for the victim's family.
Challenging Star Darshan has called the murder as an "inhuman act in the name of love". In a post shared on X, he wrote, "Those who have committed such an inhuman act in the name of love should be punished according to the judiciary. May the soul of 23-year-old Neha Hiremath rest in peace. May God give his family strength to bear this pain."

'Kantara' star Rishab Shetty has said that the Karnataka government should take action against the action to prevent such incidents. "Neha Hiremath's incident is inhumane.I pray that God gives strength to Neha's family to bear this grief, requesting that legal action be taken against the culprits so that such an incident does not recur," he said on X.
His close friend and Rakshit Shetty retweeted his post and captioned it: "#JusticeForNeha".
Another actor Dhruva Sarja said that all angles should be investigated in the murder. He wrote, "The killing of sister Neha Hiremath is a very heinous act. The killing of Campus Li is really alarming. The government should transfer this case to the fast track court for judgment soon. It should be investigated from all angles and the culprit should be punished severely 🙏
Jai Anjaneya."
In broad daylight inside a college campus in Hubballi, 23-year-old Fayaz Khondunaik allegedly stabbed Neha to death. The accused, who fled the scene, was arrested by police subsequently.
Neha, daughter of Niranjan Hiremath, was a first-year MCA student and Fayaz was her former classmate.
According to a senior police officer, Fayaz allegedly stabbed her multiple times. During interrogation, he claimed that the two had been in a relationship but she had been avoiding him of late.
The matter has escalated into a political battle between the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP in Karnataka. While the ruling party has portrayed it as a "personal incident," the BJP suspects "love jihad" and argues that it highlights the "decline in law and order" in the state.
Meanwhile, Fayaz's father has demanded a maximum punishment for his son for brutally killing Neha. "He (Fayaz) should be punished in a way that no one dares to do such a thing in future. With folded hands, I apologise to Neha's family members. She was like my daughter," PTI quoted Baba Saheb Subani as saying.
