Daaku Maharaaj OTT Release Date: So, Balakrishna fans were pretty bummed out when Daaku Maharaaj didn't drop on Netflix this Sunday as expected. Yep, the much-hyped Telugu flick, which was supposed to make its OTT debut, kept everyone waiting. But hey, here's the big update you've been waiting for!

Daaku Maharaaj OTT Release Date Update

When Will Daaku Maharaaj Be Released On OTT Platform?

While Netflix hasn't officially announced the date yet, word is that the movie will stream from February last week. Some reports claim that it will be out this week but the the Telugu Film Producers Council's mandate of a minimum of 50 days between a film's theatrical release and its streaming availability on OTT platforms prevents the movie from its digital release.

However, it's not just Telugu fans who'll get to enjoy it-the movie will also be available in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

For those who missed the buzz, Netflix reportedly shelled out a whopping ₹25 crore for the digital rights of the movie.

Daaku Maharaaj had a solid run in theatres, hitting the big screens on January 12 during the Sankranthi festival. In just 25 days, it raked in over ₹90 crore (nett) in India alone. Not too shabby for a movie packed with action, drama, and Balakrishna's signature swag!

What's the Story About?

The movie is set in a village where MLA Thirumala Naidu (played by Ravi Kishan) is secretly growing cocaine on Krishna Murthy's (Sachin Khedekar) tea estate. When Krishna Murthy finds out, things get heated. Enter Nanaji (Balakrishna), who steps in as a driver to protect Krishna Murthy's granddaughter Vaishnavi (Veda Agarwal) and takes on the MLA and the drug mafia.

But wait, there's more! As the Maharashtra police chase Nanaji, his mysterious past starts unraveling, tying him to Balawanth Singh Thakur (Bobby Deol) and the legendary Daaku Maharaaj. Cue a high-octane showdown of justice, revenge, and all things masala!
