Coolie Movie Free Tickets, Holiday Announced For Employees To Watch Rajinikanth's Film
Superstar Rajinikanth's Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to storm theatres on 14 August, and the excitement is so intense that some companies in India and even Singapore are reshaping work schedules for its release.
Holidays for Rajinikanth's Film Coolie
In Madurai, Uno Aqua Care announced a holiday on release day to avoid a flood of leave requests from employees. Not stopping there, the company is giving away free movie tickets and has pledged to donate food to an old-age home and an orphanage in honour of the occasion.

In Chennai, one employee's casual leave request for Coolie turned into a team outing after her boss not only approved the leave but decided to join the screening - along with the entire team.
Singapore Joins the Celebration
The Coolie craze has crossed borders. In Singapore, Farmer Constructions PTE LTD declared a paid holiday for its Tamil workforce, gifting them free tickets and SGD 30 for expenses. Convenience store chain SB Mart PTE LTD will shut down operations between 7:30 AM and 11 AM on release day so staff can enjoy the film.
Marketing Gold Around Coolie
Brands are also cashing in on the frenzy. Electronics retailer Vasanth & Co launched a social media contest offering Coolie tickets in exchange for follows and Rajinikanth trivia answers. In Madurai, jewellery brand 1947 °F Gold Smith went viral with a video unveiling a gold ring engraved with the word "Coolie."
With Rajinikanth back on the big screen and fans across continents adjusting their calendars, 14 August is shaping up to be more than a film release - it's a full-blown cultural event.
