Coolie Advance Booking: Ticket Sells Like Hotcake In Chennai, Bengaluru; Earns 62 Crore Worldwide

The advance booking of Rajinikanth's Coolie has met with a great response. Over 6000 shows have been listed across the country in major cities including Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

In Tamil Nadu, the movie has estimated to have earned over Rs 10 crore from the advance booking 1152 shows. Kerala has become the second big centre for Rajinikanth as it has raked in Rs 4.57 crore from 1820 shows followed by Karnataka where it has collected Rs 3.89 crore from 405 shows, as per Sacnilk data.

Coolie Box Office: Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi

Among the cities, Coolie has made the highest collection in Chennai where it has collected Rs 3.66 crore from 632 shows. Next comes Bengaluru where it has made Rs 3.54 crore from 292 shows. It is followed by Coimbatore (Rs 1.15 crore from 266 shows), Kochi (Rs 1.1 crore from 277 shows), Madurai (Rs 67.87 lakh from 166 shows), and Trichy (Rs 47.18 lakh from 72 shows), the data said.

The movie, which will hit the screens on August 14, has made a collection of Rs 20.35 crore from the pre-sales in India. A total of 682046 tickets have been sold in a matter of four days.

Among the overseas centres, Coolie has earned $1.86 million (Rs 16 crore). Trade trackers claim that it might touch $2.5 million (Rs 21 crore) before its release. The movie has done good pre-sales business in Malaysia, the Gulf countries and in the Europe.

As per another trade tracker Andhra Box Office, the movie has earned Rs 62 crore at the worldwide box office till Monday morning, 9 am. The Tamil version alone has made Rs 21.36 crore with an occupancy rate of 59.85.

Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial has Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and others in the cast. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan will be seen in a special role.
