Coolie 1st Week Box Office Collection: Here's How Much Has Rajini Film Earned In 7 Days

Rajinikanth's Coolie has wrapped up its first week at the box office with a strong performance, despite the expected weekday drops after a blockbuster opening weekend. The film, which released in multiple languages, has so far managed to pull in an impressive ₹222.5 crore India net across seven days.

Day Wise Collection For 7 Days

The movie opened to a thunderous start on Thursday, raking in ₹65 crore net on day one, led by the Tamil version which alone contributed ₹44.5 crore. The opening was historic in many parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, while the Hindi version too gave a solid start with ₹4.5 crore.

After a slightly reduced but still massive ₹54.75 crore on Friday, the collections saw a bigger dip on Saturday (₹39.5 crore) and Sunday (₹35.25 crore). However, the four-day extended weekend put the film at a staggering ₹194.5 crore net, establishing it as one of the strongest openers for Rajinikanth in recent times.

As is typical with big-ticket films, Coolie witnessed sharp falls on weekdays. Monday collections dropped to ₹12 crore, Tuesday further slid to ₹9.5 crore, and by Wednesday, the film posted ₹6.5 crore (early estimates). Despite the drop, the weekday numbers were considered steady given the huge weekend surge and the massive initial occupancy.

Looking at the Tamil version's occupancy on day 7, the film maintained a decent footfall across the state. Chennai city led the way with 33% overall occupancy across 691 shows, followed by Pondicherry (27.25%) and Trichy (26.75%). Other centres like Coimbatore (21.5%) and Dindigul (21.75%) also contributed reasonably well. In contrast, markets outside Tamil Nadu such as Kochi (10.5%), Trivandrum (5%), Mumbai (9.5%) and NCR (6.75%) showed a significant drop, reflecting the film's stronger hold in its home state compared to the national level.

Breaking down the day-wise trend, the Tamil version remained the highest contributor every day, followed by Telugu and Hindi. The Kannada version, while adding smaller amounts, still managed to hold on consistently across the week.
