Complaint Filed Against Tamil Actress Saranya Ponvannan Over Parking Dispute

A case has been filed against popular Tamil actress Saranya Ponvannan by her neighbour over parking space dispute, as per the reports in the Tamil media.

In the complaint, the woman named Sridevi had said that an altercation started over parking car, leading Saranya Ponvannan to issue threats against her woman. Consequently, Sridevi has lodged a formal complaint with the police station, purportedly submitting CCTV footage capturing the altercation involving the Tamil actress as evidence.

It is interesting to note that a movie titled 'Parking' was released in Kollywood featuring Harish Kalyan and MS Bhaskar in the lead roles. The film is about the fight between two tenants in an building fighting over the parking space.

Who is Saranya Ponvannan?

Saranya Ponvannan is a South Indian actress, predominantly known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, with a few appearances in Kannada films as well.

In 2022, she also featured in the Hindi movie 'Chup: Revenge of the Artist'. Saranya made her debut in a leading role in Mani Ratnam's 'Nayakan' (1987) and continued to portray lead characters from 1987 to 1996.

After an eight-year hiatus, she returned to the silver screen in 2003, primarily taking on character roles. Over her career spanning more than 25 years, she has garnered numerous awards, including one National Film Award, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, and an impressive five Filmfare Awards South, among other accolades.
