Chandan Shetty Slams Claims Connecting Niveditha Gowda To Srujan Lokesh Amid Divorce

Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda took to the media on Monday to address the swirling rumors surrounding their divorce.

During the press conference, the couple stated that they have amicably decided to part ways to focus on their individual careers.

Following their announcement, some netizens began to speculate about actor and TV personality Srujan Lokesh's involvement in their separation, alleging an extramarital affair between Srujan and Niveditha.

In response, Chandan and Niveditha defended Srujan, emphasizing their close familial relationship with him. They expressed disappointment at the baseless accusations and urged people to refrain from making hurtful comments.

Chandan Shetty said, "We go to their home. They are a wonderful family. Linking the person to Niveditha is in very bad. Those who are making those claims are not good. Kannadigas will never do such things,"

Niveditha, visibly upset, emphasized the impact of these rumors on her and her family. She revealed that she had personally reached out to Srujan and his wife, who assured her of their support and dismissed the rumors.

Niveditha said, "I was hurt to look at those clains. People should realise that they too have a family. I request people to should not hurt not sentiments. Those creating posts on our personal lives might get engagement for their posts but it hurts us badly,"

Chandan addressed rumors about paying a hefty alimony to Niveditha, clarifying that there is no truth to such claims. He emphasized that their decision to part ways was mutual and based on their individual aspirations.

"There is no truth in it. I haven't given anything to her. We are parting ways mutually and independent individuals," the rapper claimed.

The couple also criticized individuals within the film industry for meddling in their personal lives and spreading baseless allegations.

Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda filed for divorce under Section 13B last Thursday and formalized the process before the court on Friday.

Their love story began during their time on 'Bigg Boss Kannada 5', culminating in a controversial proposal by the rapper at Mysuru Dasara in 2019. They tied the knot in February 2020.
