Chandan Shetty Breaks Silence On Divorce With Niveditha Gowda: Check First Reaction

Rapper Chandan Shetty and his wife Niveditha Gowda have broken their silence on their divorce, hours after the shocking news surfaced online.

In a joint statement, they confirmed that they are parting ways. "This day, We, Chandan Shetty and myself have ended our marriage legally on good terms and mutual understanding."

Chandan and Niveditha have requested the media to respect their privacy. They also stated that they respect each other although they are getting separated.

The statement added: "We request support from the media, our friends, and fans who stood by us at all times to respect our decision and our privacy. Even though we are going our separate ways, we still care and respect each other. Your kindness, understanding and encouragement mean a lot to both of us during this period. Thank you all."

The couple had filed their divorce application under Section 13B on Thursday and appeared before the court on Friday to formalize the process.

Earlier in the day, a viral video captured the couple walking hand in hand at the court premises.

During the court proceedings, Chandan Shetty reportedly stated, "We have mutually agreed to part ways,"

At this time, the judge asked why you decided to separate. The couple replied, "We have differences. We have our dreams about our careers. So, we are happy to agree to take separate ways."

Following their statements, the judge requested them to wait, and they were observed sitting calmly on the premises, seemingly unaffected by the situation.

Chandan Shetty and Nivedita Gowda fell in love during their stint in 'Bigg Boss Kannada 5'. After being in love for a few years, the rapper proposed her at Mysuru Dasara in 2019, which had created a controversy. In February 2020, they had tied the knot.

However, Chandan and Niveditha often became targets of online trolling and memes due to their frequent sharing of intimate moments on social media platforms.
