A romantic drama film, 'Chand Mer Dil' featuring Lakshya Lalwani and Ananya Panday, has finally arrived in theatres on May 22, 2026.

Irrespective of being backed by Karan Johar's production banner, the film underwent a modest opening at the box office amid limited pre-release excitement and faced mixed reviews by audience.

The film earned an estimated Rs 2.90 crore net on its opening day across 4,944 shows nationwide according to Sacnilk. It's gross at India, currently stands around Rs 3.39 crore, with an overall occupancy rate of 17.31%.

Although the numbers are far away to consider a film as extraordinary, the opening is being viewed as fairly justified, if we talk about the buzz the project gained even before release.

The film reportedly performed better in selected urban markets and managed to attract a section of young moviegoers.
