The 2025 season of CCL kicked off on February 7, with Chennai Rhinos facing off against Bengal Tigers. Initially, Bengaluru was set to host only two matches, with the home team, Karnataka Bulldozers, playing just one game on the opening day. However, the semifinal and final venues were kept under wraps until this recent revelation.

8 Teams Vying For Trophy

This edition features eight teams: Karnataka Bulldozers, Mumbai Heroes, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Telugu Warriors, Bengal Tigers, Chennai Rhinos, Kerala Strikers, and Punjab De Sher. The league follows a unique format where each team plays two innings of 10 overs per match, akin to Test cricket. After four matches, the top four teams advance to the semifinals, leading to a high-stakes knockout stage.

Unlike the previous season, where the losing team of the first qualifier had a second chance to reach the final, this year's tournament adopts a more straightforward knockout structure. This change raises the stakes, ensuring that every match is crucial for teams aiming to secure the championship.

With Mysuru set to host the grand finale, fans can look forward to an exciting conclusion to the season in a new and picturesque setting.
