Case Against Kannada Actor Darshan Over Dog Bite Incident
A case has been filed against Kannada actor Darshan and his staff following a complaint from an advocate that his dog bit a woman.
The victim has alleged that the canines attacked and bit her. Amita Jindal, hailing from RR Nagar, stated in her complaint that an argument occurred between herself and the dogs' caretaker while she was parking her car in an unoccupied area on October 28.

The empty site is next to Darshan's house.
Amita attended a hospital event for World Stroke Day and parked her car near the vacant area. Upon her return, she found the caretaker seated nearby with three dogs, two of which were tied while the third roamed freely.
"I requested the caretaker to take away the dogs so I could take out my car. But he started arguing with me for having parked the car there. Then, the dog which had been let loose jumped on me and I fell on the ground. Seeing me falling down, one of the dogs that had been chained managed to free itself and attacked me. Both the dogs bit me and tore my clothes," The Times Of India quoted Amita as saying in her complaint.
She successfully fled the scene and sought medical treatment at the hospital before lodging a complaint.
The police have filed a case against the actor and the unidentified caretaker under IPC section 289 for negligent conduct concerning animals.
The police say that they will issue a notice to Darshan and his household assistant, summoning them for questioning.
