Canada: Punjabi YouTuber Nancy Grewal Stabbed To Death

Nancy Grewal, a 45-year-old woman of Punjabi origin and a Windsor-based content creator, was fatally stabbed Tuesday night in LaSalle, Ontario, in what police are investigating as a homicide.

Stabbing Reported Late Evening

Officers from the LaSalle Police Service responded to a 911 call shortly before 9:30 pm on March 3 in the 2400 block of Todd Lane. When emergency crews arrived, they found Grewal with critical stab injuries.

She was rushed to hospital by Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services but later died from her wounds.

The following morning, investigators cordoned off two homes between Canada Street and Bishop Street. Forensic teams were seen collecting and marking evidence along a pathway and near the entrance of one property as part of the ongoing inquiry.

Police Appeal For Information

In an official update, the LaSalle Police Service confirmed the victim's identity and extended sympathies to her family. Authorities stated that early findings indicate the incident is being treated as isolated, with no immediate threat to the wider community.

Detectives have urged anyone with relevant details to come forward and are requesting surveillance footage from nearby homes that may help piece together the sequence of events.

Known For Strong Online Views

Grewal was active on YouTube and other social platforms, where she regularly discussed developments related to Punjab and India-Canada relations. She had openly criticised political and religious figures, including Amritpal Singh and Bikram Singh Majithia, and voiced opposition to Khalistani extremism.

Police have not yet announced any arrests. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
