Bollywood Personality Orry and Group Caught Drinking Near Sacred Vaishno Devi Shrine, Despite Clear Warnings

A controversy has arisen in Katra, Jammu division, after social media sensation and Bollywood personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry and seven others were booked for breaking local laws. The incident occurred on March 15 at a hotel in Katra, a sacred site for devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi.

According to officials, Orry and his group were caught consuming alcohol in the hotel's Cottage Suite, despite clear warnings that alcohol and non-vegetarian food were banned in the area. This has caused significant concern, as Katra is a spiritual location, and such actions are viewed as highly disrespectful.

The group, which includes Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Anastasila Arzamaskina, was accused of violating local rules after being told that alcohol consumption was prohibited. The Katra Police Station filed an FIR (number 72/25) in response to the incident, which has garnered media attention, including a report in DNA.

The Cottage Suite area in Katra, where the group drank, has strict regulations due to its proximity to the Vaishno Devi shrine. As a result, the area enforces a ban on alcohol and non-vegetarian food to maintain the sanctity of the pilgrimage site.

A police official confirmed the incident, stating that a special investigation team had been set up under the supervision of senior police officers, including the SP Katra and SHO Katra. Notices will be issued to all accused individuals, urging them to cooperate with the investigation. The SSP Reasi further emphasized that anyone violating laws at religious sites would face strict action.

Orry, who gained popularity after being spotted with Bollywood celebrities and star kids, was also featured on a few episodes of Bigg Boss 17. He recently made a cameo appearance on Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives on Netflix.
