Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood Faces Arrest Warrant In Fraud Case

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, often referred to as the "messiah of the helpless," has been served a legal notice after his name surfaced in an investigation related to a ₹10 lakh fraud case.

A warrant for his arrest has now been issued in Ludhiana.

As per reports, the case was primarily filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna against an individual named Mohit Shukla, alleging that he was deceived into investing in a fraudulent Rajika coin scheme.

While Sonu Sood's direct involvement in the case is yet to be determined, ANI reported that he was summoned to testify in court but failed to appear.

Consequently, an arrest warrant was issued for non-compliance with the court's directive.

The arrest warrant stated: "Sonu Sood has been duly served with summon(s) or warrant(s) but he/she has failed to attend (absconds and keeps out of the way for the purpose of avoiding service of a summon(s) or warrant(s)). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said Sonu Sood before the Court..."

Sonu Sood and his team have yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.

Sonu Sood's Recent Work

On the professional front, Sonu Sood was last seen in the film 'Fateh', in which he starred alongside Jacqueline Fernandez.

The film marked his directorial debut and also featured veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles.

In 'Fateh', Sonu portrayed a former special operations officer who collaborates with an ethical hacker, played by Jacqueline, to dismantle a cybercrime syndicate.

The action-packed thriller showcased Sonu in an intense avatar and managed to collect ₹12 crore at the box office, despite its clash with Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's 'Game Changer'.
