In the legal proceedings, Pavithra Gowda is identified as A1, Darshan as A2, and K. Pawan as A3. All have undergone medical testing. A total of 13 individuals were presented before the judge on Tuesday evening, with Darshan and 12 others being remanded to judicial custody.

Darshan was residing in an upscale hotel in Mysuru before his arrest on Tuesday morning around 8:30 am. He was apprehended in connection with the death of his fan, Renuka Swamy, who had sent obscene messages about the actor's friend and actress, Pavithra Gowda.

Renuka Swamy was reportedly taken from Chitradurga to a warehouse belonging to Darshan's friend, where he was assaulted and subsequently died.

During the court appearance, both Darshan and Pavithra Gowda were visibly emotional before the judge, as they were placed in police custody following their medical examinations at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital. The police requested custody of the accused for 10 days to conduct further investigations, including visiting the crime scene, retrieving call records, and locating the alleged murder weapons.

In response, Darshan's lawyer argued that the actor had been cooperative with the investigation, his phones were seized, and the victim's body had been recovered, indicating no need for further police custody. Despite this, the judge ordered all accused to remain in police custody until June 17.
