Pradeep Anthony's Fans Use 'MeToo' Issue As A Weapon To Target 'Bigg Boss Tamil' Contestant Maya

After Pradeep Anthony's eviction, his fans are now targeting the inmates who were instrumental in forming a strong opinion inside the house to kick him out of 'Bigg Boss Tamil' citing 'women's safety issue'.

Notably, people are venting out anguish at Maya Krishnan. They are now using an old allegation of sexual harassment by Chennai-based artist Ananya Ramaprasad as a weapon to target her on social media sites.

The Controversy
During the #MeToo movement in 2018, Chennai-based theatre artiste, in a Facebook post, had said, "I am a victim of sexual, mental and emotional manipulation, abuse, and most horrifically, gaslighting, all at the hands of my abuser, Maya S Krishnan."

However, Maya had denied all the allegations and she was ready to face legal proceedings.

"I deny all the allegations mentioned in the post.... Considering her to be a child was a mistake, I will not repeat that anymore," Maya had said. She had also deactivated social media accounts.

A user on X shared a screen shot of the news article and wrote, "Sorry. I never bring news outside into BB. But I'm justified here as #Pradeep got evicted from BB citing "women's safety" by #MayaKrishnan & gang including @ikamalhaasan. But the same #Maya has a #MeToo case against her by a woman. #BiggBossTamil #BiggBossTamil7 #PradeepAntony"

Another user said, "Ananya Ramprasad Was A Victim Of Harassment At The Hands Of Maya S Krishnan. Revealed By Her In 2018 #MeToo Movement. Looking At Maya's Behaviour And Role Inside #BigBossTamil7, This Can Definitely Not Be Ruled Out."

The third user stated, "#Maya just STFU and leave the show. You are not eligible to be in the house as u r #MeToo accused. And a women accused u and u saying safeguarding #Aishu from #Archana is ridiculous #BiggbossTamil7."

"Kamal Hassan is supporting Maya Krishnan who has #MeToo allegations against her. She schemed and orchestrated the eviction of Pradeep Anthony by branding him a women abuser. #BiggBossTamil7," the fourth netizen added.

Pradeep was issued a red card by the women contestants in 'Bigg Boss Tamil' house. Citing several instances where he made abusive comments, they gave a red card against him, eventually evicting him from the show.

However, this decision has met with a lot of criticism as he was a fan favourite to win the show.

Maya, who is basically a theatre artist, has worked in movies such as Dhanush's 'Thodari', Sivakarthikeyan's 'Velaikkaran', Rajinikanth's '2.0', Vikram's 'Dhruva Natchathiram', Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' and more recently in Vijay's 'Leo'.
