Bigg Boss Tamil 8 Voting: Make Voting & Missed Call Counts Official: Sanam Shetty Ahead Of Finale
As the grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil 8 approaches, actress Sanam Shetty has called for greater transparency in the show's voting process. Taking to social media, she urged Star Vijay and the makers to publicly disclose the official vote and missed call counts for each contestant during the live telecast, addressing growing skepticism among viewers about the fairness of evictions and results.
In her post, Sanam wrote, "Sincere request to the Channel and Makers of #BiggBossTamil @vijaytelevision @EndemolShineIND: Please make Hotstar Official #Votes and #MissedCall Count visible to #Public on the #LIVE telecast show. This is the only #solution to completely remove our doubts about #Evictions and #Wins. It will also reassure us of our contribution as #organic #viewers and #voters of the show."

Sanam also proposed an alternative if transparency cannot be ensured. She suggested removing the public voting system altogether and treating the show as a private competition, stating, "If not, then make it a #Private show and remove the voting process! No more questions will be asked. Thank you." She concluded her message with hashtags such as #MakeVotesPublic and #BeTransparent, tagging Disney+ Hotstar and Banijay Asia.
Backlash Over Evictions
Sanam's demand comes in the wake of heated reactions from fans over the elimination of two strong contestants, Arun and Deepak Dinakar, during the weekend. Deepak, in particular, was considered a frontrunner for the title, and his eviction has sparked widespread criticism of the show's voting mechanism.
One user responded to Sanam's request, highlighting potential challenges in implementing a transparent voting system. "Cannot happen. It is changing the format of the original show which may not be allowed. Also, it'll take away the surprise element which'll make the weekends boring. And I think it'll give rise to more problems. People'll start voting based on voting trends. More PR'll get involved," the user argued.
The Race to the Finale
With Arun and Deepak now out of the competition, the remaining contestants-Jacquline, Muthukumaran, Pavithra, Rayan, Soundariya, and Vishal-are vying for the trophy in the highly anticipated finale.
As fan debates over fairness and transparency intensify, it remains to be seen whether the show's producers will address these concerns or maintain the status quo for the sake of preserving the surprise and drama that have long been hallmarks of the Bigg Boss format.
