The eighth season of Vijay TV's hit reality show 'Bigg Boss Tamil' took off with a grand launch on Sunday with Vijay Sethupathi replacing Kamal Haasan as the new host. The event was aired from 6 pm to 10 pm, introducing the audience to a fresh batch of contestants and exciting format changes.

This season will feature 18 contestants, who will enter the Bigg Boss house and remain there for 100 days or until their eviction. In a unique twist, the house will be split into two: one for male contestants and the other for female contestants, replacing the previous "main house" and "small house" divisions seen last season.

Ravindar Chandrasekaran

Ravinder is a well-known film director and producer, founder of Libra Productions, and recognized for the film Sutta Kadhai (2013). His involvement is notable following his recent release from prison on conditional bail after being arrested for fraud worth Rs 16 crore. He had a publicized reunion with his actress wife, Mahalakshmi. Ravinder previously gained attention for criticizing Vanitha Vijayakumar during her controversial marriage to Peter Paul.

Deepak Dinakar
