After Dharmasthala Controversy, YouTuber Sameer To Enter Bigg Boss Kannada House?
Youtuber Sameer MD, who hit the headlines recently after making a controversial video around the Soujanya murder case in connection with the Dharmasthala Temple, has been reportedly approached for the Bigg Boss Kannada 12.
If true, the development comes amid Kiccha Sudeep reportedly asking the channel not to bring controversial contestants to the show.

Sameer MD found himself in hot water recently after posting a 23-minute-long video titled "Who Are Serial K!llrs of Dharmasthala?". The video, which quickly went viral, included shocking claims allegedly based on the statement of a former sanitation worker who accused officials of forcing him to bury victims of sexual assault near the Dharmasthala temple premises.
However, Dakshina Kannada police stated that the video was AI-generated and contained exaggerated, fabricated details far beyond what was included in the actual legal complaint and court statements. They also noted that the video breached privacy by revealing additional content related to the whistleblower's testimony.
A case was registered against Sameer at the Dharmasthala police station under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges of spreading false information and inciting provocation with the intent to cause unrest.
This isn't his first legal run-in. In April, Sameer faced a Rs 10-crore defamation suit from Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala's representatives, D Harshendra Kumar and Nischal D, accusing him of maligning the temple's reputation with misleading content around the 14-year-old murder of college student Soujanya.
Interestingly, the buzz around Sameer MD's Bigg Boss entry comes despite Sudeep's alleged reservations about inviting controversial figures. In previous seasons too, such moves have backfired. Varthur Santhosh, for instance, was arrested mid-season in Bigg Boss Kannada season 10 for wearing a tiger claw pendant.
Season 11 of Bigg Boss Kannada was marred by privacy violation claims, controversial tasks, and allegations of unfair treatment, prompting legal notices and public outrage.
Sameer is a popular YouTuber with over 8 lakh followers on Instagram.
With Season 12 around the corner, fans and critics alike are watching to see if the show will once again toe the line between controversy and TRP.
