Bigg Boss Kannada 12: Is Sameer, Linked to Dharmasthala Controversy, Really Taking part in Sudeep's show?

With only 11 days to go for the grand Bigg Boss Kannada 12 launch, rumours have been floating around the contestants who will take part in Kiccha Sudeep-hosted show.

One name in the rumoured ist that has raised eyebrows is YouTuber MD Sameer, who shot to limelight after coming up with Ai videos on Sounjaya murder case and a communally sensitive video on his channel regarding the alleged Dharmasthala mass burial case

This isn't his first legal run-in. In April, Sameer faced a Rs 10-crore defamation suit from Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala's representatives, D Harshendra Kumar and Nischal D, accusing him of maligning the temple's reputation with misleading content around the 14-year-old murder of college student Soujanya.

On August 24, Sameer appeared before the Belthangady police to answer for a separate case. The Dharmasthala police had registered a case against him for a communally sensitive, AI-generated video that they say spread false information and caused public outrage. According to police, the video contained fabricated details that went beyond what was in the official court complaint.

After obtaining anticipatory bail on August 21 with a bond of ₹75,000, Sameer is required by the court to cooperate with police and make himself available for the investigation. This condition makes his participation in the reality show highly unlikely. Additionally, it is reported that host Kiccha Sudeep has advised the show's producers against including controversial contestants.

On the other hand, reports had claimed that another YouTuber named Sameer Shyam will also be taking part in Colours Kannada's show. However, he has clarified that he is not taking part in it.

"I have received the offer. Someone called me asking whether I'm interested. Not sure whether it is a real or fake call. But I did not show any interest," he stated.
