Bigg Boss Fame Kashish Kapoor Files FIR Against Domestic Help, Alleges 7 Lakh Stolen
Television actress Kashish Kapoor, known for her roles in Bigg Boss 18 and Splitsvilla X5, has filed a police complaint against her domestic help. The complaint was lodged at Amboli police station on July 9, 2025, after she discovered Rs 7 lakh missing from her home. The accused, Sachin Kumar Choudhary, allegedly stole the money intended for Kapoor's mother.
Upon checking her cupboard drawer on July 9, Kapoor found only Rs 2.5 lakh remaining. This led to suspicion falling on Choudhary, who had been working for her for about five months. When confronted, he reportedly produced Rs 50,000 from his pockets before fleeing the scene. Kapoor immediately contacted building security and went to the police station to file an FIR under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Investigation Underway
The Amboli police have initiated an investigation and are actively searching for Choudhary. CCTV footage from the building is being reviewed to trace his escape route. Police have also questioned several building staff members as part of their inquiry. The incident has sparked concerns among local residents and celebrities about verifying backgrounds before hiring domestic workers.
Kashish Kapoor shared her feelings in a vlog, stating, "I trusted that person, but he has hurt both my feelings and trust and urged prompt police action." She expressed disappointment over the betrayal by someone she considered family. Kapoor emphasized that it wasn't just about the money but also about the violation of personal space and trust.
Public Reaction
The news has resonated with many in Andheri West as they await updates on the case. Meanwhile, Kapoor is currently in Singapore for a professional shoot. She issued a public statement expressing her emotional distress over the incident. "This has shaken my trust," she said, highlighting how unexpected the betrayal was since she had no prior complaints against Choudhary.
As investigations continue, authorities are focusing on whether Choudhary had been planning this theft over time due to his access to the house during Kapoor's absence. The situation underscores the importance of thorough background checks when employing household help.
