Bigg Boss 19 Salman Khan Salary: What Is Bhaijaan’s Remuneration Per Episode?

Bigg Boss is returning with its 19th season, and Salman Khan is back as the host. While the official list of contestants is still under wraps, the show promises its usual blend of drama, entertainment, and surprises. A fresh report has now revealed how much Salman Khan will be paid this season-and it's less than what he earned before.

Salman Khan's Reported Pay for Bigg Boss 19

According to reports, Salman Khan is expected to earn between Rs 120 crore and Rs 150 crore for hosting Bigg Boss 19. The show will run for around 15 weeks, meaning Salman will take home approximately Rs 8 to 10 crore per weekend.

However, unlike previous seasons, Salman will only host for three months. For the remaining two months, the makers are planning to bring in other celebrities such as Farah Khan, Karan Johar, or Anil Kapoor-all of whom have previously hosted Bigg Boss with success.

Comparison with Past Seasons

Salman's earnings have dropped significantly. He reportedly earned:

Rs 250 crore for Bigg Boss 18

Rs 200 crore for Bigg Boss 17

The current salary represents a 40-52% decrease from what he earned last year. Industry insiders suggest that this dip may be due to Bigg Boss 19 leaning more towards an OTT format, with cost-cutting measures in place.

Salman Khan previously hosted Bigg Boss OTT Season 2, for which he reportedly earned Rs 96 crore. Bigg Boss 19 is said to follow a similar pattern. The show is scheduled to premiere on August 30, and will initially stream on JioCinema, with a 90-minute delayed telecast on TV.

What Makes Bigg Boss 19 Different?

Apart from the pay cut, Bigg Boss 19 is introducing some major changes. Contestants will reportedly control the house, from evictions to rations to task results. The iconic line "Bigg Boss chahte hai" is being replaced by "Bigg Boss janna chahte hai."

Despite the pay cut, Salman Khan's presence continues to be a major draw. His weekend appearances remain a highlight for fans across the country.
