Barroz OTT Release Date: When & Where Will Mohanlal's Malayalam Film Be Released Online?

Mollywood superstar Mohanlal-directorial movie Barroz is a fantasy action-adventure which has Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, Ignacio Mateos, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Nerea Camacho, and Tuhin Menon in the cast. The film is all set to make its OTT debut.

Whel Will Barroz Release On OTT?

Disney+ Hotstar has announced that "Barroz" will be available for streaming from January 22. Viewers can enjoy the film in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. However, those waiting for the Hindi version will need to be patient as it will be released later. The OTT release will only feature the 2D version.

Barroz's Financial Journey

Released on Christmas 2024, Barroz is noted as Mohanlal's most expensive project to date. With a staggering budget of ₹150 crore, it was anticipated to be a major hit. This budget surpassed that of Priyadarshan's "Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea," which had a budget of ₹100 crore and also starred Mohanlal.

Despite its high expectations and significant investment, "Barroz" did not perform well at the box office. According to Sacnilk, it earned ₹9.83 crore domestically and ₹4.5 crore overseas, totaling ₹15.1 crore worldwide. Its theatrical run was short-lived, lasting only eight days.

The Goat Life, also known as Aadujeevitham, ranks as the third most expensive Malayalam film ever made. Released in 2024 and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, it was produced with a budget of ₹80 crore.
