Ayushmann Khurrana Steps Up for PM Modi’s Fit India Movement
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been officially recognized as the 'Fit India Icon' by Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya at an inaugural ceremony held in New Delhi on Sunday. The 40-year-old actor has now joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Fit India Movement, an initiative aimed at inspiring people to prioritize fitness and well-being.
The Fit India Movement seeks to create a nationwide culture of fitness by making physical activity accessible, enjoyable, and a part of daily life. The initiative encourages people to adopt simple yet effective ways to stay fit, eliminating common barriers to exercise.

Speaking on the occasion, Khurrana emphasized the significance of good health, stating, "Good health empowers us to do anything. When your health is good, challenges-whether personal or professional-seem manageable. But when health is compromised, it becomes the biggest challenge of all." He further stressed that "A healthy nation is a wealthy nation. When we are fit, we are more productive, prosperous, and contribute to nation-building."
Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya praised Khurrana's involvement, highlighting the impact of celebrity endorsements on public awareness. "When celebrities like you support the Fit India Movement and spread a positive message, it inspires millions of youngsters to stay fit and lead healthier lives," he said.
Apart from his advocacy for fitness, Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Dream Girl 2 (2023), directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and co-starring Ananya Panday.
