Atlee Plots Mega Project: Salman Khan & Rajinikanth To Star in Sun Pictures' Big Ticket Film?

Is Sun Pictures and Atlee are gearing up to pull of something unimaginable? Rumours in the tinsel town have started doing rounds that the filmmaker is preparing to cast two big names from the Indian film industry.

You heard it right. Salman Khan and Rajinikanth might possibly join hands for a pan-Indian movie which will be funded by leading production house Sun Pictures.

There are chances of a meeting between Rajinikanth and Salman Khan in July, Bollywood Hungama reported citing sources.

"Sun Pictures will be producing the film and they share a family-like bond with superstar Rajinikanth. Atlee on the other hand has been in touch with Salman Khan for the last two years. They are confident to get both Rajinikanth and Salman Khan on board," a trade source stated.

The yet-to-be-titled movie will is expected to be launched by by the end of the year. "Salman Khan aims to start Atlee film after wrapping up Sikandar. Superstar Rajinikanth on the other hand will take this up after Coolie. It is a combination to be remembered for generations'" the source added.

Atlee Kumar, who made his directorial debut with 'Raja Rani', delivered big hits in Tamil such as 'Theri' and 'Mersal'. He entered Bollywood with 'Jawan' which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of Shah Rukh Khan's career.

The movie minted Rs 643.7 crore at the India box office while the grossing collection stands at Rs 761.98 crore. It made over Rs 386 crore from the international market, taking its worldwide collection to Rs 1148.32 crore,
