The latest episode of Lock Upp was packed with confrontations, emotional moments, and unexpected revelations. One of the most talked about topic was when contestant Madhuri Jain Grover, entrepreneur and wife of businessman Ashneer Grover, disclosed a deeply personal chapter of her life in order to avoid elimination from the game.

Madhuri remarked that a third child helps parents "stay younger." She gave an example of actor Shah Rukh Khan and suggested, that the concept of "Hum Do, Humare Do" is not suitable for everyone. She further stated that when wealthy people have more children, wealth grows, whereas when poor families have more children, poverty increases.

Her remarks triggered an immediate backlash across social media and many viewers called the comment as insensitive and classist.

One social media user wrote, "elitism at its ugliest." He argued that it implies only affluent families deserve the right to have children. Another user pointed out that economic inequality is largely driven by systemic factors, that benefit the wealthy.

Several viewers also questioned why the show's hosts, Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, did not respond to the controversial statement during the episode. Another comment argued that, such reasoning would suggest that middle-class families should refrain from having children.

Apart from the controversy, the episode featured a special appearance by Kangana Ranaut, who hosted the first season of Lock Upp. Returning as a guest, she addressed the contestants, offering candid feedback and encouraging them to elevate their performance in the competition.

The episode also marked the first elimination of Lock Upp 2, with Shresta Iyer becoming the inaugural contestant to exit the reality show.
