Known for iconic songs like 'Sharara' and 'Le Gayi', Asha Bhosle has a huge fan following across the county. The false news of Asha Bhosle's death went viral in no time. However, this was debunked as fake. Her son, Anand Bhosle, firmly denied these rumours circulating on social platforms.
In a conversation with ETimes, Anand Bhosle stated, "It is untrue". This statement was in response to the false claims about his mother's demise. The veteran singer had recently celebrated her late husband Rahul Dev Burman's 85th birth anniversary on June 27. She paid tribute by honouring his harmonium and surrounding his picture with medals and honours.

Shabana Shaikh, a Facebook user, shared an image of Asha Bhosle adorned with a flower garland. The caption misleadingly announced, "Famous singer Asha Bhosle passed away - a musical era ends (01 July 2025)." Another similar post lamented the loss of a treasured artist with the words "Ham ne ek aor anmol kalakaar kho diye." These posts quickly gained traction online.

The misinformation regarding Asha Bhosle's death highlights the rapid spread of fake news on social media. Despite the false reports, her legacy continues to thrive through her timeless music and contributions to Indian cinema.
