Tamannaah Bhatia has become the latest victim of deepfake technology as miscreants are spreading fake pictures of her on the internet.

A few photos of the actress in a two-piece bikini are doing rounds on social media sites. On closely observing, you can see her face has been superimposed onto the body of another woman and it is a creation of deepfake technology.

More importantly, the actress, who is active on her social media pages, has not shared the said pictures anywhere. Hence, it can be considered as a fake photo which has been created to draw people's attention.

However, numerous actresses have become victims of such fabricated content, with notable names including Rashmika Mandanna, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, and Kriti Sanon.

In today's digital era, where truth can be manipulated with a simple click, these incidents serve as a poignant reminder of the dangers lurking in the shadows of cyberspace.

Deepfakes refer to videos or images generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered deep learning software, depicting individuals saying or doing things they never actually did.

Similarly, Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon were caught up in a web of digital deception as a fake photo of them wearing bikinis circulated on social media.

In the wake of Rashmika Mandanna's deepfake video controversy, the Centre directed social media companies to take action against content that breaches the rules and regulations outlined in the IT Rules 2021, ensuring adherence within specified timeframes. Also, users are cautioned against sharing or hosting such infringing information, content, or deepfakes.
