Actress Archana Kottige Marries BR Sharath In Bengaluru - See Pics & Videos

Kannada actress Archana Kottige has tied the knot to cricketer BR Sharath in a grand event on Wednesday. The wedding was graced by some of the top names of Sandalwood and the cricket field.

The couple had their reception on Tuesday evening. They married as the Hindu customs on Wednesday morning. They had their engagement ceremony a few months ago.

On Tuesday, several cricketers attended the wedding reception, including the RCB's Devdut Padikal. Prasiddh Krishna (Gujarat Titans), Vaishakh Vijayakumar (Punjab Super Kings) were present to wish their friend BR Sharath who plays for Karnataka team in Ranji cricket.

As far as the guests from film industry is concerned, Sapathami Gowda, Amrutha Iyengar, Sanya Iyer, Ashika, Archana Jois, Naveen Shankar, Hita Chandrashekhar, Sanvi Sudeep, and several others graced the occasion.

However, Ashika Ranganath, Anusha, Khushi Ravi, Tejaswini Sharma, and Roshini were spotted at the grand wedding.

Who Is Archana Kottige?

She began her career with Aranyakanda in 2018. She has acted in movies like Hostel Hudugaru Bekagidare, Vasu Nan Pakka Commercial, Dear Sathya, Yellow Gangs, etc.

Notably, in 2018, she had six releases in one year. She is now gearing up for the release of Zee5 Kannada's first original series 'Ayyana Mane' which will be streamed on April 25.

Whereas BR Sharath is a wicket-keeper-batsman. He made his Ranji debut in 2018 and scored a century against the Vidarbha Cricket Team in 2018.

Archana Kottige-Sharath's Love Story

It is a love-cum-marriage. They had studied together in a same college, though Sharath was one year senior to her.

"Sharath was my senior in college, and while I knew of him back then, we weren't close. Years later, in 2018, we met through a mutual friend and I instantly felt like sparks were flying everywhere," the Bengaluru Times quoted her as saying in an interview.

"Obviously, Sharath liked me from the get-go, but I waited for him to tell me that he likes me first," she adds, with a laugh. "But, he was always the gentleman; he still is," she says.

On asking about their first date, the couple revealed that they had met at a cafe in Jayanagar. A friend had accompanied them.
