Archana Defends Boyfriend Arun, Slams Vijay Sethupathi Over Weekend Issue

Archana Ravichandran, winner of Bigg Boss Tamil 7 has come forward to defend her boyfriend, Arun Prasath, amidst heated controversies in Bigg Boss Tamil 8. Taking to social media, Archana addressed recent criticisms, particularly those made by the show's host, Vijay Sethupathi, about Arun's stance on the 'skilled' vs. 'labour' task inside the Bigg Boss house.

In a detailed video shared on her social media platforms, Archana explained the context of the ongoing disputes and expressed her disappointment over how Arun was portrayed during the weekend episode. She criticized the way the issue was escalated and claimed that Arun's intentions were misrepresented.

"Last week, there were fewer contestants in the house after a couple of fights and evictions. Arun's point was simple and logical-when there are fewer people, kitchen work reduces, but the house's size remains the same. He felt more people should focus on other tasks instead of overcrowding the kitchen team. This was blown out of proportion during the weekend episode, and it broke my heart," Archana said.

Archana elaborated on the crux of the controversy, explaining Arun's discomfort with the terminology used in the task. According to her, Arun viewed the house as a family where tasks should be considered shared responsibilities rather than being categorized as 'skilled' or 'labour.'

"Arun was triggered by the terms used in the task. He saw the house as a family, not as a place where jobs are hierarchized. The responsibilities should be shared equally. This point was completely misunderstood and misrepresented, especially during the weekend episode," she added.

Archana also shed light on an exchange between Arun and fellow contestant Deepak, which she believed was pivotal in escalating the matter. "Deepak provoked Arun by using the term 'Twister' and then brought up the 'skilled vs. labour' distinction again, causing another chaotic argument. Later, Deepak tried to do damage control, fearing the issue would surface during the weekend episode," Archana explained.

"And apart from that what happened on the mic everything that happened in the confession room everything was damage control and I could see it," she claimed.

She expressed frustration over how Arun's intentions were ignored during the discussion led by the host. "The host spent 40 minutes dissecting the issue instead of understanding Arun's perspective. Anyone would be nervous and unable to articulate their points properly when cornered in such a manner," the former Bigg Boss Tamil winner said

Archana criticized the show's handling of the controversy, accusing the makers of blowing the issue out of proportion for dramatic effect. "The host didn't focus on the root of the problem. Instead, they tried to manipulate Arun's words and intentions. This was unnecessary and unfair," she stated.

Archana's defense has sparked debates among Bigg Boss fans. While some praised her for standing up for Arun and providing clarity on the issue, others felt her explanation downplayed the seriousness of the controversy.
