Amidst these developments, rumors are rife that actress Sweety Shetty, better known by her stage name Anushka Shetty, who appears in Telugu and Tamil films is gearing up to enter politics.
Anushka Shetty, a popular actress known for her roles in numerous blockbuster films, is currently being selective about her movie choices. Having garnered praise for her performances in women-oriented movies, she is reportedly preparing to transition into a political role.

Speculation is rife that Anushka Shetty will contest the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections as a candidate from Pawan Kalyan's Jan Sena party. According to reports, the actress has been in discussions with Jan Sena leaders and has been actively preparing for her political debut. However, Anushka Shetty has not yet made any official announcement regarding her political ambitions.
Rumors of Anushka Shetty bidding farewell to the film industry to pursue a political career have been making rounds in Telugu media. If these reports are to be believed, Jan Sena plans to field Anushka Shetty as a candidate for Minister, alongside actress Roja from YSRCP in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh.
Anushka Shetty gained immense popularity for her role in the Baahubali series, which catapulted her to stardom. Following the success of Baahubali, she appeared in films such as "Bhagamati" and "Nisbdam," with a cameo in "Saira Narasimha Reddy." Her latest film, "Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty," released in 2023.
Having been an active figure in the Telugu and Tamil film industries since 2005, Anushka Shetty is now set to make her debut in Malayalam cinema with Rojin Thomas' fantasy drama, "Katnaar - The Wild Sorcerer," alongside Jayasurya and Vineeth. This move has sparked further speculation about her potential entry into politics.
