Amitabh Bachchan Reveals How Aging Is Affecting His Work—"I Keep Making Errors!"

Amitabh Bachchan, at 82, continues to take on new projects, but he admits that aging has brought its own set of challenges. In a heartfelt blog post, he reflected on how work has changed for him and the struggles he faces while performing on set.

The legendary actor shared that he often questions whether he can do justice to the roles offered to him. With multiple meetings happening, he finds it overwhelming to decide which projects to take on. "Every meeting feels like a test-a challenge. What to accept? What to decline? I honestly don't know how the industry functions anymore," he wrote.

Amitabh also admitted that when it comes to filmmaking, he simply follows the director's instructions, calling himself "a mere puppet." He revealed that he doesn't prepare much before shooting and relies on spontaneous creativity. "Whatever innovation happens is purely in the moment-no research, no preparation, no deep discussions. Just be on set and go with the flow."

However, what has become more difficult with time isn't just memorizing lines-it's the physical and mental demands of the job. "As you age, it's not just about remembering dialogues. There are multiple age-related factors that affect how you deliver a scene," he explained.

What's more, Amitabh confessed that after a long day of shooting, he often realizes he made mistakes. "You come home, reflect on the errors, and then make a midnight call to the director, asking for another chance to correct them," he shared.

Despite these struggles, the megastar remains unstoppable. He is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 16 and was last seen in Vettiyan alongside Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati. Even after six decades in the industry, he continues to push himself, proving that his passion for cinema remains as strong as ever.
