Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor Already Have A Boy’s Name Picked

Alia Bhatt recently shared the story behind her daughter Raha's name. The actress appeared on Jay Shetty's podcast, where she revealed that it was her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, who suggested the name. Raha, which means joy, peace, and bliss, perfectly describes the happiness the little girl has brought into Alia and Ranbir Kapoor's lives.

Alia recalled that when she was expecting, she and Ranbir were eagerly discussing baby names in their family group. "We were asking for both boy and girl names so that we could be prepared. There were multiple suggestions, and we really liked one boy's name," she said. However, she chose not to reveal that name just yet.

She then shared how Neetu Kapoor came up with Raha's name. "My mother-in-law suggested, 'What about Raha? It will go very well with the boy's name if you ever have a son. If you have both a boy and a girl, it'll be a great combination.' She also suggested another girl's name, but Ranbir and I instantly loved Raha."

When asked if Raha had a meaning, Alia smiled and explained, "Raha means peace, joy, and bliss. All the things that she is to us." Alia and Ranbir welcomed Raha in 2022, and the name has since become special to their family.

On the work front, Alia was last seen in 'Jigra' alongside Vedang Raina. She is currently filming 'Alpha,' a YRF spy thriller featuring Sharvari and Bobby Deol. She will also star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War' with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
