Ajay Rao Divorce: Trouble In Kannada Actor's Marriage

Popular Kannada actor Ajay Rao has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife, Swapna, after 11 years of marriage.

Rumors of a rift in their relationship have been circulating on social media for months show, but neither the actor nor his wife has officially commented on the matter. However, the latest reports in the Kannada TV channels claim that they have decided to part ways.

The couple, who married in a private ceremony in Hospet in 2014 and have a daughter together, recently moved into a new house. In a separate development, it's also been reported that Swapna has filed a complaint against the actor under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act.

Ajay Rao is known for his work in over 30 films. Ajay Rao debuted as a lead with the film Excuse Me (2003) and later appeared in films like Taj Mahal (2008), Krishnan Love Story (2010), Krishnan Marriage Story (2011), and Krishna Leela (2015). With Krishna Leela (2015) he debuted as a producer, launching his home banner Shree Krishna Arts And Creations.

After being in a relationship for years, they tied the knot on 18 December 2014. Four years later, they have a daughter named Cherishma. Celebrity divorces have become increasingly common in the film industry, and recent years have seen several high-profile splits across Sandalwood and other South Indian cinema.

In the Kannada film industry, Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda, who were married for three years, have now formally ended their marriage.
