Aishwarya Rajinikanth-Dhanush Officially File For Divorce

Two years after announcing their separation, Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Dhanush have officially filed for divorce.

As per a report, they have approached a family court seeking divorce under Section 13B in Chennai recently. After 18 years of togetherness, Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Dhanush parted ways in January 2022.

"18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting.. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate... Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this (sic)," the ex-couple had announced in a statement.

However, speculations were doing rounds that there were attempts from the family members for their patch-up. Some reports had claimed that the ex-couple had planned to co-parent their children - Lingaa and Yatra.

"The buzz that they are trying to reconcile is wrong. They aren't. When it comes to divorce, they have not filed it yet, so they are separated. There is no filing in the court. They won't even file for divorce until and unless one of them wants to get married again, which is not the case at the moment. They don't live together, but respect each other and share a cordial bond for their kids. They are busy raising their kids, and finding ways to co-parent. They are taking turns to keep their kids so that they don't feel a void in their life," a source had told Hindustan Times.

After announcing their separation, they were seen attending events of their sons in their school.

Nonetheless, the fans on social media have been asking them to sort out the differences and come together. More recently when the Holi celebration pictures of the Rajinikanth family surfaced, many fans said that they missed Dhanush in the photos.
