Ahead Of Ram Temple Inauguration, Amitabh Bachchan Buys Plot In Ayodhya For Rs 14.5 Crore

Bollywood's Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan has bought a plot in a seven-star enclave in Ayodhya, Hindustan Times reported. It comes ahead of the Ram Mandir 'Pran prathista' ceremony.

The 81-year-old actor has acquired a plot of land for the construction of his residence in "The Saraya," a luxurious 7-star mixed-use enclave spanning 51 acres in the city. This upscale development is managed by The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), a Mumbai-based developer.

Talking about the project, Big B said, "I am looking forward to embark on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries. This is a start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital."

Although the developer has not revealed the dimensions and financial details of the plot, insiders in the industry estimate that it spans approximately 10,000 square feet and carries a value of R 14.5 crore.

It is interesting to note that Amitabh Bachchan's birthplace Prayagraj is a four-hour drive from Ayodhya.

Describing it as a significant achievement for his firm, Abhinandan Lodha, the chairman of HoABL, expressed excitement in having Amitabh Bachchan as the inaugural resident of The Sarayu. The location is approximately a 15-minute drive from the Ram Temple and just 30 minutes away from the Ayodhya International Airport.

The actor's investment will include a five-star palace hotel in collaboration with Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, owned by the Brookfield group. The project is anticipated to be finished by March 2028.

The prices for the plot have witnessed a steep rise since the Supreme Court's order on Babri Masjid demolition in 2019.
