After Sunil Pal, Actor Mushtaq Khan Shares His Kidnapping, Torture Ordeal
Mushtaq Khan, best known for his comic roles in Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome' and 'Stree 2', was reportedly abducted under the guise of being invited to an event.
The actor's business partner shared details of the distressing incident with India Today, revealing that Mushtaq was kidnapped from the Delhi-Meerut highway and tortured for 12 hours.

According to the account, Mushtaq was sent flight tickets and an advance payment to his account as part of the event arrangements. Upon arriving at Delhi airport, he was asked to board a car, which took him to a location near Bijnor on the outskirts of Delhi.
Shivam, his business partner, stated that the abductors tortured Mushtaq for nearly 12 hours and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore. They also extorted over Rs 2 lakh from the actor and his son's bank accounts.
How Khan escaped kidnappers
Shivam recounted that Mushtaq managed to escape when he heard the morning Azaan and realised a mosque was nearby. He fled the location, sought help from locals, and contacted the police to return home safely.
"Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken over what happened with him. However, he was always sure that he would file an FIR after he composed himself. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor and filed an official FIR. We have proof of the flight ticket, the bank accounts, and even CCTV footage near the airport. He also recognises the neighbourhood, even the house where he was kept. I think the police team will surely get the culprits soon," Shivam shared.
Similar incident involving Sunil Pal
Recently, comedian Sunil Pal faced a comparable ordeal while travelling to Haridwar for a private event. He was kidnapped and held hostage, with the abductors demanding Rs 20 lakh as ransom. After negotiations, Sunil secured his release by paying approximately ₹8 lakh.
Mushtaq's business partner expressed concern over the two celebrities experiencing such incidents.
"We had no clue about the case. After Mushtaq sir returned, we spoke about the incident with a few of our close friends. When Sunil's case was highlighted in the media, they informed us about the same. It is shocking that two public figures from the industry had to go through a similar ordeal. We hope there is awareness and protection in the future for everyone," Shivam remarked.
As of now, Mushtaq Khan is said to be in good health and is expected to address the media in the coming days.
