After 'Darbar' Disaster, AR Murugadoss Set To Bounce Back With Salman Khan's Next

AR Murugadoss, who was once a most sought-after filmmaker, is all set to make his comeback after his much-hyped 'Darbar' bombed at the box office. After four years, he is ready to direct a film, which will star Salman Khan in the lead.

Salman Khan's close friend Sajid Nadiadwala is funding the project. A source told Pinkvilla, "Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala have been discussing a probable collaboration for a while now. When Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss discussed this subject, the only name that came to their mind was Salman Khan, and when the producer discussed the film with Salman, it was an instant yes from the superstar,"

It is said to be a global action entertainer which will be shot in multiple nations throughout this year.

The same source has revealed that the budget of the film is Rs 400 crore and it will be shot in Portugal along with a few countries in Europe. The source added, "The meetings took place earlier in the year and all the energies aligned in the right way to start the film as soon as possible. Among every script that came his way over the last year, the AR Murugadoss film is something that excited him the most leading him to put the film on priority,"

For AR Murugadoss, it is an important film as his 'Darbar' failed to live up to the expectations. The major setback was when his favourite Vijay, with whom he has delivered hit movies like 'Thuppakki', 'Kaththi' and 'Sarkar', reportedly rejected a script.

AR Murugadoss has delivered many hit movies such as 'Dheena', Kaththi', and 'Thuppakki'. He has the credited of giving Bollywood its first Rs 100-crore movie at the Indian box office in the form of Aamir Khan's 'Ghajini'.
