Adhyayan Suman Opens Up On Toxic Relationship With Kangana Ranaut
Bollywood actor Adhyayan Suman, son of Shekhar Suman, recently shared insights about moving on from a challenging relationship. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, he discussed his past with Kangana Ranaut, which was highlighted in 2016 due to allegations of abuse. Although he avoided revisiting specifics, Adhyayan emphasised the importance of sharing his story after years of silence.
"I wanted to talk about my story only once, I'm not interested zehen mein bhi nahi tha (I didn't even think of it), I'm just saying that meri kahani mujhe logo tak pochani bohot zaruri thi, 7 saal jo bhi main chup raha aur mujhe jo kehna tha usko kehkar (It was very important for me to share my story with people, after staying silent for 7 years, I finally said what I needed to say). I have let it go now in peace. I had to let that go."

Understanding Closure and Healing
Closure doesn't mean resolving everything or getting answers from the other person. According to Gurleen Baruah, an existential psychotherapist, it's about finding peace with past events. Accepting reality and acknowledging hurt while being kind to oneself is crucial. Real closure occurs when memories no longer dominate emotions.
Baruah explains that healing from emotional trauma involves recognising what happened and ceasing to protect those who caused harm. This process can be lengthy but begins by naming the experience. Talking to trusted individuals or seeking therapy can help untangle these feelings.
The Role of Family Support
Family support plays a significant role in healing from traumatic relationships. Baruah notes that having people who listen and believe your experiences provides essential emotional backing. However, not all families offer perfect support; some may downplay experiences or remain neutral due to concerns over reputation or power dynamics.
Shekhar Suman echoed this sentiment by stating that neither he nor Adhyayan holds onto past grievances. He mentioned that everyone has moved forward towards happiness without judging past events. "We are not hanging on to it - neither the family nor Adhyayan," he said.
Moving Forward
Adhyayan previously accused Kangana of practising 'black magic' on him during their relationship. Despite these claims, both he and his family have chosen not to dwell on the past but instead focus on personal growth and contentment.
Baruah highlights that healing involves understanding the past rather than erasing it. By doing so, individuals can prevent painful experiences from defining their future selves. Over time, they rediscover parts of themselves lost in pain.
